Jaime Ray-Taylor RMT-306 has been a massage therapist for over 9 years, practicing mainly deep tissue and trigger point therapy for chronic ailments. Since graduating from Blue Cliff School of Therapeutic Massage in Gulfport in 2000, she continues her studies in many modalities of massage therapy to insure that she has the tools to assist in the healing of the individual. Jaime, first expanded her knowledge of deep tissue and myofascial release in workshops with one of her favorite instructors, Magnus Eklund. In 2008, this expansion was put to good use when she trained under Ruthie Hardy in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, taking her deep tissue work to another level. She is also a firm believer in working on an energetic level. Her Reiki studies concluded in 2007, when she became a Reiki master under the instruction of Sara Simpson along the lineage of Dr. Mikao Usui. Her additional training in reflexology, in 2006, brought about taking the workshop training she received in traditional Ingham method and combining this with the crystal therapy training from Hazel Raven at the Heaven and Earth Crystal Conference in Ashland, OR. There she also learned techniques such as spinal clearing and grounding therapies utilizing the healing properties of stones. Jaime’s main goal in her career and continuing education is to understand and bring together the balance of mind, body and spirit. Her belief is that this is the only way to reach true healing. That is why she also studies yoga. She currently practices Anusara Yoga, a system based on Hatha Yoga founded by John Friend, under the intruction of Tammy Brahan. She also teaches a Kid’s Yoga class at the Yoga Room. In the summer of 2009, she received basic certification in Street Yoga, an outreach program to help troubled youth find peace and serenity in chaotic environments. Currently she is studying Storytime Yoga, which incorporates storytelling with yoga play. Jaime keeps the faith that our world is changing into a more peaceful and spiritual existence. This motivates her on a path to help ease the pain and discomfort of those clearing the way for our future, our children, and she finds great joy in teaching some of these little peacemakers.
